2021 S5 SB extended warranty... joined the club, almost!

Currently in the process of purchasing my long-time dream car, the S5 SB, '21, with 30k miles (CPO). I had yet another question about extended warranty. CPO will cover 1 more year, and the dealer is quoting $4900 for an additional 3 years with a $250 deductible. I am leaning towards getting the warranty for the peace of mind but I’m not sure if that’s the right price. What do you guys think?

That price seems a bit high for an extended warranty. I’d check if you can find similar coverage elsewhere and compare prices.

I’ve heard mixed reviews about extended warranties. If you plan to keep the car long term, it might be worth it for peace of mind. Just make sure to read the fine print.

Good point about the fine print. I’ll make sure to do that before deciding.

Honestly, if you’re planning to do a lot of driving or just want to ensure you’re covered, it might be worth it. Just make sure to factor in how often you might use it.

I had a similar quote for my car and ended up opting out. I’ve found that CPO coverage is usually enough if you keep up with regular maintenance.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I’m definitely weighing my options carefully.
