A4 2.0 TDI owner tips... how to keep it running?

I just bought this beauty with around 200,000 km on the clock. I would love to keep this thing running forever. Any tips from fellow A4 owners? I was also toying with the idea of giving it an ‘eco’ tuning, which I’ve heard is very effective on these engines, but I’m unsure if that will shorten the car’s lifespan.

Love those rims you have. Unfortunately, they only exist in 18 inches, which is a bummer.

Appreciate it, was thinking rotor. But honestly, they are growing on me.

There definitely is a 17-inch version of those rims, model 8K0 601 025 BB 8Z8.

I think you’re right. These are 17-inch, not 18.

Which version of the 2.0 TDI do you have?

It’s the EA189 engine with 120 PS, I think. It’s not an ultra, so it has the emission scandal software on. That’s why I’m thinking about doing an ECU tune.

Make sure to clean the EGR and DPF regularly. They can lead to expensive repairs if not maintained. Hopefully, you don’t have AdBlue, as it’s super problematic on the B8.5 models.

Thanks for the tip. I’ll definitely keep an eye on those components.
