After driving for a little while, the car starts to behave weirdly: it accelerates very slowly, as if there was no turbo, and all gears appear to be capped at 3100 rpm. However, just after starting the car, everything works just fine. There are no messages on the dashboard whatsoever. I won’t be able to visit anyone for a couple of days, so I wondered if anyone knows what that might be.
It sounds like you might be experiencing some sort of limp mode. This can happen if the car detects a fault somewhere, even if no warning lights are illuminated.

That makes sense. I’ll look into limp mode issues and see if I can find a solution.
I would suggest checking the turbocharger and associated hoses for any leaks or blockages. Sometimes a small issue can cause a big loss in performance.

I’ll definitely check those areas. Thanks for the advice.
If you have access to a diagnostic tool, it might be worth checking for any stored fault codes. They can give you a better idea of what might be going wrong.

I’ll see if I can borrow a diagnostic tool to check for codes.
