Hi there! My 2004 A4 cabriolet was just sold, and I’m now searching for something a little bit bigger and stronger.
I can’t decide if I should get a 2018 sq5 or a s5 from the same year. Though I’m not sure which model, I want a S. I adore the way the S5 looks, but I need more room. The q3 doesn’t appear in the s, but the sq5 seems a little too large.
Please advise or assist me in making a decision. I have a flexible budget.

What city do you stay? I acquired an S4 here in the Northeast, but after looking back, I should have gotten an SQ5, as the roads are much worse. I love how the sedan handles, but it gets destroyed by all the trucks and road debris, not to mention potholes and poorly constructed highways.

Being in the Rockies, we get a lot of snow in the winter and a lot of rain in the summer, which results in some really terrible roads. Although I didn’t have many problems with my A4, the SQ5 would be more useful now that you’ve mentioned it!

Yes, I was adamantly opposed to owning an SUV and, despite better judgment, decided to buy the car. Don’t get me wrong. I adore it, but the SQ5 would have seen a lot more use. As it is, I now only drive the SQ5 when necessary and instead make use of our Q5.

Give them a test. SQ5 has more ground clearance and a more comfortable seating position. It can haul larger items with seats down due to the higher rear opening.
The S5 is more nimble and will be more fuel efficient and likely cheaper to insure.

If you are in the market for a SQ5, choose a 2019+. In 2018, there were several teething problems as the second generation began.
I am into my SQ5. An enjoyable daily routine and plenty of space. If you are in the market for a SQ5, choose a 2019+. In 2018, there were several teething problems as the second generation began.
I love my SQ5.
