I have 19" rims and will likely spend 30 days skiing next year, so snow tires are a must.
Unfortunately, my travel to work is 100 miles roundtrip, and the winter temps range from 60 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
Are there any winter tires that will operate well (and are suitable for commuting)?

You might wish to choose Michelin Cross Climate 2s. They are not true “winter” tires, but they are very good in the snow for a non-full snow tire, and they will work well in 60-70s/rain dry without wearing down too much, and they are a decent enough dry touring tire that you won’t be bothered by as an all-year tire unless you are hooning around.
