Anyone experience a sudden brake from Audi Sense while on freeway? Scary af

I was on the freeway this morning. No one in front or behind me, and suddenly Audi Sense kicked in and braked for 0.1 seconds. It was so scary, and I’m afraid it might happen again and cause an accident in the future. :frowning:

Were you near an overpass?

Not sure, what happens if I’m near an overpass?

If you have speed limit recognition and are using cruise control, passing under an overpass with a different speed limit can confuse the system and cause it to apply the brakes.

Ahh, no I don’t have that sensor. Probably a system glitch. Just afraid there will be an accident caused by this glitch.

It’s happened once or twice. Glitch in the system, honestly scary to think about. But it was never recurring.

Yikes, sounds scary tbh.

My Pre Sense did that to me a couple of times while starting to make a left turn. Scared the crap out of me. Now, I just take the extra few seconds to turn off Pre Sense in the infotainment screen when I start the car. 2023 SQ5.

Aren’t you afraid of major incidents?

This is also the only time Pre Sense kicked in for me, and it was at the same left-hand turn both times. It’s one of those left-hand turns that’s cut out inside of the median. Not sure if that had something to do with it, but it’s never happened while driving anywhere else.

Yes, this actually happened to me when entering a double lane freeway entrance on the I-40. A car got just in front of me, and it was instant. Scared the hell out of me when going 30-40 mph.

This happened to me for the first time yesterday. In slower traffic, someone was crossing the road ahead of me. I could see they would make it in time, but the road curved to the right, and the Pre Sense kicked in and applied the brakes briefly. I was surprised but quite impressed.
