Long story short, I’m pretty sure I accidentally wiped out my calibration data for my adaptive headlights range module while messing around on VCDS with no idea what I’m doing. Someone on the Ross-Tech forum mentioned that the only fix is to get a SVG and calibration done at the dealership. I wanted to see what’s a fair cost for this service so I can make sure I’m not getting ripped off. I recently moved to DFW and haven’t had any experience with the Audi dealers here yet. My car is a 2018 Audi A4 quattro premium plus.
I had a similar issue with my headlights, and it cost me around $200 to $400 at the dealership for the SVG and calibration.
From my experience, dealerships in DFW can be a bit pricey, but if you shop around, you might find a better deal. Just make sure to check reviews.
If you have VCDS, you might be able to reset some settings yourself, but for the calibration, I think the dealership is the best route.
Make sure to ask about warranty coverage when you get it done. Sometimes they include a warranty on the work.
I’ve heard that some independent shops can do the SVG and calibration for less than the dealership. Might be worth checking.
