B9 S4 clicking noise - please offer insight

My B9 S4 has nearly 50k miles and makes an audible clicking when idling in my garage after driving home. I can also hear it next to concrete barriers sometimes when the windows are open, and in very tight parking garages, I can hear a rhythmic click that gets faster with acceleration and varies in loudness. My cousin’s b9 is severely tuned and he confirmed that he does not hear any clicking.

Is there an issue with my belt or pulley, or is this a symptom of something bigger? I work full-time distance from home and can’t just go to a mechanic, and most of them won’t provide you any information until you pay them for a job. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You’re hearing direct injection from high-pressure fuel injectors.

Okay, thank you. I believed it was normal, but my cousin claims he doesn’t hear it in his car. His is from 2018, but that should not matter.

This is my first decent automobile ever. I don’t know how most typical functions behave yet, but I’m learning.
