Considering used rs7

I found an rs7 in my perfect condition: the right color inside and out, all of the options I desire, a single owner with a clean Carfax. It has been driven, with 40k kilometers for an MY21, and the pricing is reasonable, though not particularly low. The 48V BSG has not yet been replaced. And, with a child, my wife gave me a soft ok to check into a replacement for my two-door.

The only problem is that they do not have any service records between 10,000 and 40,000 miles, only what is on Carfax.

It’s across the nation, so I’d buy eye unseen. Is there anything a PPI can find that would indicate whether it has received proper maintenance?

No service records do not mean no service.

Not every store updates to Carfax.

I’d recommend getting a plane ticket, flying out for the weekend, and checking out the automobile. Worst-case scenario, you wasted $500 on a hotel and a plane ticket. Best-case scenario, you have your dream spec RS7.

I would say no service records and far away location equals a hard pass in this case.
