First car... feeling excited but need some help!

I bought a 2014 Audi A6 2.0T Quattro with 150,000 miles for $6,500. After two weeks of driving, I found an oil leak, which I thought was from the engine, but it was actually from the turbocharger.

I’d like to avoid taking it to an Audi dealership and want to know the potential repair costs and if it’s okay to use a local mechanic.

Looking good! Welcome to the club! Audi family’s always growing

Thanks! Excited to be here – just gotta keep it running :joy:

Turbo seal, huh? If your local mechanic is good with German cars, should be fine. I have a shop nearby that only does German cars, and they’re the only place I trust now. Had rough experiences at Audi before.

Yeah, I found one local guy who quoted me $625 but realized he couldn’t do it. Gonna keep looking around – thanks for the tip!

Hope you find a good one! Check out reviews if you haven’t already – sometimes they give a heads up if shops are reliable.

Wonderful car, bro! That model has such a cool look – totally worth fixing up.

Thanks, man! It’s a beauty, just needs a little TLC lol.

The shape of this model is iconic, front and back. They really don’t make ‘em like this anymore! New A6 just doesn’t have the same vibe.

Couldn’t agree more! Love the older look. Audi did something special with these.

Definitely! Audi’s recent models are nice, but the classics have that unique touch.

If you’re new to cars, watch out for future leaks. Older Audis sometimes need a bit more love to keep running smooth.

Thanks for the heads up! I’m learning as I go lol.

Yeah, maintenance is key. Especially with German cars!
