I just got a '24 Q5 PHEV today and was surprised to find out it has illuminated rings at night. Honestly, I don’t think it looks that bad, but I’m curious if there’s an option to turn them off if I want. Overall, I love the car.

Yeah, it wasn’t exactly my choice haha. You can imagine my surprise when I turned on my car tonight.
Especially since the color temperature doesn’t match the headlights. Looks like a cheapo Chinese lit-up logo was slapped on.

Is there an option to disable/turn it off in the MMI or some button next to the headlight control? Personally, I’d turn it off if given the option, but it’s not terrible.
Not sure. Just got the car today and it’s my first Audi, so I haven’t had much time to explore the interface yet. I actually think it looks pretty solid but can see myself getting tired of it at some point.
I’m sure there’s a way to turn it off, either via computer input or physically unplugging a connector. But if you like it, I wouldn’t go through the trouble of disabling it if there’s no easy on/off button. Nice ride btw! Congrats!
I saw this in person yesterday & was shocked too! Honestly doesn’t look bad for the newer models as it matches the headlight LEDs. It can probably be disabled via the lighting menu, if not through VAGCOM I’d imagine.
I can just picture you driving to all your friends and family specifically at night, beeping your horn outside their houses with just the sidelights on!
