Just Bought This Unit. (21’ RS5)

I am a longtime Audi fan, first-time owner. The car is in excellent condition, with only 30k kilometers. What should I anticipate to enjoy and what should I plan to spend money on? :pray:t3::raised_hands:t4:.

Gotdang

There are issues with pistons cracking and rocker arms failing, destroying cylinder heads; if your RS5 is tuned and you run into this problem, don’t expect Audi warranty to help you at all; a new engine is very expensive; keep it stock for now if you can; otherwise, enjoy the car; she is very beautiful.

Didnt Audi fix the rocker arm issue with the B9.5s?

There is an upgraded rocker arm, but we can’t say it’s a complete remedy; even the earlier rocker arm concerns were assumptions.

Great. I was looking at a 9.5 S5 or RS5… This is a tad concerning

I wouldn’t let anything stop you; keep the warranty under the parameters of the agreement and you should have no issues at all. As always, keep up or surpass the maintenance plan.

Very good to know. I was going to tune it, but not for a few years. Thanks for the information.

Is this only for RS5 or any 3.0T B9.5?

Do not listen to this guy. The rocker arm issue is greatly exaggerated; out of the millions of automobiles sold with questionable rocker arms, only a small percentage failed, and that’s before the revised part. The modified part can be found in all builds after 2019. The chances are minimal; don’t let guys driving A3s mar your day with your S/RS cars.

Expect smiles and be prepared to spend money at the petrol pump.:fuelpump: I can only speak from the “S5” point of view.

That’s good to know. And you have a stunning figure! I sought a blue RS5, but couldn’t locate the settings I liked, so I pulled the trigger on the grey (which I also love).
