Just picked up a 2018 Q7 Premium Plus 3.0. Any advice to a new owner?

Now that you own an Audi, please park responsibly and not like a BMW owner.

You have got a great Audi with a reliable engine. Keep up with oil changes and fluid maintenance. At around 100k miles, clean the valves and watch for PCV valve or thermostat issues. If needed, a shop can do the work for about $1,000, or you can do it yourself if you’re handy. This should set you up for another 100k miles and cost about $2,500.

I would like to contribute to this. Congratulations on your CREC; unlike older models, you will not need to clean valves. However, they continue to have problems with the PCV, thermostat, and water pump. Double-check all of your hoses while you’re there. The infamous $0.79 rubber elbow, which cracks frequently, can only be touched during this treatment. Servicing the supercharger requires some ingenuity, but if you can get that far with the PCV, you should be good. You can purchase parts from a variety of sources, but keep in mind that your CREC is different from previous versions, so double-check part numbers or order from knowledgeable suppliers (fcp/ecs). Don’t forget to get your service manuals; they’re just as useful as vcds and obdeleven.

Keep an eye on the front tires, if they are Goodyear. They enjoy tearing themselves up on the outer treads. Big portions

If you observe my MK8 Golf R parked in an available parking space, please do not park in the spaces next to me. Thank you. Nice car .

Don’t ever wonder why it’s more expensive to maintain than Toyota. Also, never exceed the recommended oil change interval of 5-7k miles. Also, get a skilled mechanic; the dealership will most likely rape you, as it did to most of us, owners of secondhand Audis.

I would say 3-5k for miles between oil changes, but depending on the previous owner(s), OP may already be well on their way to adding a quart every 3-500 miles.
