Just picked up my first Audi

Just cracked 70k miles. The car says it’s due for its standard every 10k mileage inspection on the dash. I didn’t get a pre-purchase inspection before I bought it (because I like to live dangerously), but I looked at it myself beforehand. Is it worth taking it into an actual Audi dealership for a full inspection since it’s new to me?

I would say no. Since you have already bought the car, you’re stuck with whatever issues it has. I’d find a reputable independent shop and have them look it over instead of a dealership. I’d also recommend a 5k service interval, especially with high miles.

@Dru
That sounds like solid advice. I’ll look for a good independent shop!

The dealership near me wanted $800 for an inspection. Told them to fly a kite. Found an independent who did it for $300.

Wow, that’s a huge difference! I’ll definitely check out independent options.

That’s a smart move. Dealerships can be pricey, and an independent shop can often give you just as thorough an inspection.

Thanks for the reassurance! I feel better about going the independent route.
