Hey, just wanted to share my first car, which also happens to be my first Audi. I know it’s an older model, but honestly, I loved that car so much. It’s got a bunch of miles, but driving it has been amazing.
Congrats on the first car, that’s such a huge deal! What model is it?

Thanks! It’s an Audi 80. I got it with about 120,000 km on it, and now it’s at 290,000 km. It’s been pretty reliable.
@Harlan
That’s solid! Sounds like you’ve taken it on quite a few adventures. Does it still handle well with that mileage?

Yeah, it actually handles really well! It’s got a 2.0L engine with 101 kW. It’s still really fun to drive and surprisingly smooth.
@Harlan
That’s awesome. I feel like Audis from that era were built to last. Have you done anything special to maintain it?

Just regular maintenance mostly. Nothing too special, but I keep up with it so it stays in good shape. I might think about doing some upgrades in the future though.
That’s cool! I drive an Audi A4 from 2008, and it’s got about 510,000 km on it. How’s the mileage on yours holding up?

Nice! Mine’s holding up really well at 290,000 km. Got it at 120,000 km, so I’ve put a lot of miles on it myself.
@Harlan
Does it still drive smooth with that much on it? The older Audis have this charm to them, especially if they’re well-maintained.

Definitely still smooth, and it’s got a 2.0L engine that keeps it running strong. It’s really enjoyable to drive even now.
@Harlan
That’s so good to hear. My friend had an older Audi too, and he loved the feel of it. Some of these older models just have something special, you know?
I love seeing people keep their older Audis going strong. My second car was a 1992 Audi Cabrio, 5-cylinder. I bought it in 2003 and still have it. In 2015, I even got the Coupé Quattro, also 5-cylinder. These cars really bring back memories.
@Kai
That’s awesome! Those 5-cylinder engines are really something. Do you drive the Cabrio often?

Not as much as I’d like to, but it’s great to have around. Every now and then, I take it out just to relive some of those early driving days. The Coupé Quattro gets a bit more use though.
Must feel amazing to still be driving your first car! Are you planning on any modifications or keeping it all original?

For now, it’s all original. I’m kind of torn between keeping it classic or maybe adding a few upgrades later on. But for now, I just enjoy it as it is.
@Harlan
Totally get that. Keeping it original is part of the nostalgia, but some modern upgrades could make it even more fun. Have you thought about any specific mods?

Not yet, but maybe something subtle, like new wheels or a sound system upgrade. Just to give it a bit of a refresh without changing too much.
Brings back memories of my buddy’s old Audi. They’re classics for a reason! What year is your model?
