I spotted a gorgeous R8 at the dealership while getting my car serviced, and now I can’t stop thinking about it! The wheels are the best I’ve seen on any R8, whether in person or online. The color is perfect too. Has anyone else had this experience?
I want a BJ but I’m married with kids. 
Not saying it has to be Highlighter Yellow, but plain black always strikes me as too boring for a supercar like the R8 V10. At least do something subtle but interesting like Moonlight Blue or Merlin Purple. Then again, I have a Gold Alfa now, so my preferences are clear enough haha.
Yeah, if I got one, it’d probably be in baby blue/gunmetal. Always loved that color.
Having a black S5 myself, it’s a love-hate relationship. Looks amazing clean, but gets dirty instantly and hot AF in the desert sun. Still, there’s something classy about a black Audi.
Black in aluminum/bright finish is so good though.
It may be an unpopular opinion, but the first-gen R8 was the best looking one. Just drop-dead gorgeous.

Nah, the thing is I’m nowhere near being able to buy it lol. I just bought a used A4 and have just enough money to cover the monthly on it. I’m good 5-7 years out from affording an R8 at my current pace.
Same man, my dealer had one I would drool over every time I was in for service. Then one day it was gone, and I asked when they were getting another in, and they said ‘never.’ Such a sad reality check!

Yes. Get the performance model. Besides the extra HP/TQ, ceramic brakes, and better gear ratios, it has the exhaust valve control button. The euro-required particulate exhaust filter (not a US requirement but on all the latest R8s) kills the exhaust tone. Swap it out for an aftermarket valve exhaust system; it’s plug-and-play and doesn’t violate US smog rules.
