SQ5 Off-Road Mode for Snow?

I’m looking into the SQ5 since we often do ski trips in snow and long drives. I currently have a pickup truck and I’ve never worried about conditions since there’s good ground clearance and 4 hi/lo if needed. I like the idea of the SQ5 with the air suspension since it can give you ground clearance, plus from what I can tell, it has the original Quattro system.

Has anyone used the off-road mode to lift for snow driving? I’m considering getting a spare set of rims and snow tires.

Quality snow tires and Quattro will take you a long way. The only thing that will stop you is unplowed deep snow.

That’s good to know. I’ll definitely invest in quality snow tires.

Off-road mode deactivates at around 15 mph. Once you go over that, it lowers the vehicle down to the all-road height. After reaching another speed threshold around 60 mph, it lowers again.

Thanks for the info. It sounds like it might be a bit limited in speed.

AllRoad mode is what you need; it sets the car to a 50:50 split and gives a good ride height to get over the snow.

I appreciate the suggestion. I’ll look into how AllRoad mode works for snow.
