I’m thinking of buying a used RS3 sedan (8V FL from 08/2020) in a special Audi exclusive color called Ipanema Brown Metallic. My original plan was to buy one in Nardo Grey, Daytona Grey, or white – just in a ‘normal’ color. I don’t know what to think about that special color. What are your thoughts on it? Do you think in maybe 3-4 years I might have trouble selling it because of that exclusive color? I’ve never seen it on the streets until now. The car doesn’t have the 280 km/h spec. Blogs and reviews say that the RS3 without the 280 km/h spec runs at 275 km/h according to the speedometer (no GPS). How fast are the ones with the 280 km/h spec? (In Germany, we’re allowed (sometimes) to reach this speed). Thank you!
I fully support people getting their cars in unique colors like this one. Even lime green isn’t unique anymore, so brown might be the coolest pick for an RS3. I don’t remember ever seeing one.
I saw a matte wrap. BROWN. It was rather nice with bronze wheels. The interior was Okapi Brown, and it all matched pretty nicely.
It looks like an unwrapped orange Tootsie Pop, and I love it.
Now that’s a color someone picks for themselves when they order a car. We need more people like that. I wouldn’t pick that color for the 8V (I like Imola or Vegas Yellow), but it’s definitely a better, more unique pick than black or gray.
Ipanema is one of the best looking exclusive colors, period.
I’d go for a special color 100% instead of boring grey. Mine is Kyalami Green, which was kinda rare on the 8V before it became standard on the 8Y, and I love it.
Looks like brownish orange. I don’t necessarily like it or hate it. Get the color that YOU like.
Anything Audi exclusive is the way to go. You might never see that color again.
I have 2 thoughts: the good and the evil.
Gorgeous. Big fan of all colors that are not black, white, grey, blue, and red like 99% of cars.
