Upgraded from a Focus to an S7... any exhaust suggestions?

Had the car for a couple of weeks and loved it. Does anyone have any suggestions for a valved full exhaust? I’m excited about this upgrade and want to make it even better.

Everyone seems to love Valvetronic. I recommend checking out IE (Integrated Engineering); they have a nice selection for tunes, ECU/DSG, and exhaust parts too.

That’s quite the upgrade, friend.

What a beast… Straight from a movie :movie_camera:.

Welcome brother, enjoy the ride.

Welcome brother, now get you a DynoSpectrum ECU tune and Leistune TCU tune. As for exhaust, is it a sport or standard exhaust? If standard, most people will just remove the middle muffler and resonators. I recommend keeping the rear mufflers as they still have the valves in them unless you go with Valvetronic mufflers. Enjoy in good health.

@Shiloh
Believe it’s a standard; honestly can’t hear it, it’s that quiet. So the comfy/dynamic modes change the valves in the rear mufflers? Good to know, I’ll probably do the middle muffler and resonators.

If the tips are black, it’s sport. If chrome then it’s standard. And yeah, the difference between dynamic and comfort is laughable. Start with the resonator and middle muffler and see how you find it.

Go DS1 and Leistune or if you’re only looking for stage 1 go APR. I made the mistake of going with Jackal and it was not it. I had transmission problems. DO NOT I repeat DO NOT go with IE tune. Their tune is known to blow the engine on the 4.0T platform. Get a cold air intake if you want to hear the turbo spool/blowoff. If you have sports exhaust just get an x-pipe. Sports exhaust has black factory tips. If not, go Valvetronic.

Looks like Calgary! Nice!

Congrats to you! That is a major upgrade indeed. Enjoy it to the fullest.

Rags to riches my friend.

Awesome car! I’m getting the S6 C7.5 as soon as I get rid of my A3 8V.
