I am looking at a 2010 I4 petrol A4 Avant because I enjoy the car and because they are reasonably priced where I reside.
Just wondering what feedback and experiences people have with this generation (and identify the engine and fuel type).

My experience was excellent; I had the 2-liter turbo i4 manual! But, since I’m mechanically inclined, I performed some preventative maintenance, such as replacing piston heads and coil packs, to eliminate the typical b8 a4 issues. The next issue is that it’s an antique German automobile…

Aside from piston heads and coils, what other common B8 faults are you aware of?
I would love a manual, but I can’t find one from that age for sale in my neighborhood.

Mostly non-engine-related stuff like window mechanisms catching and screeching until it’s fixed, I know my sunroof had to be fixed. It was a pretty nice experience overall
