I tried that plastidip thing and went with all-black emblems on the front and back. I think it looks way better than the chrome. 
Since a baby came along, I had to switch out my beloved TT MK2, but I do love this A5 too.

Black emblems on a black car don’t look great. Honestly, black emblems on anything with a black background look bad too. Most Audi front grilles fall into this. There’s no contrast in colors, and it makes the front end look like a black hole. There are only a few cases where I like black badges. For instance, my car is Daytona gray matte. The glossy black badges look awesome on my rear hatch because of the contrast with the matte paint. On the front, I swapped the black rings for chrome, and I think it looks way better.
That color is beautiful! The black looks fantastic. Just add some tire shine, and you’re all set!
