I’m curious, who else here works on their Audis? Whether it’s DIY maintenance or just keeping up with repairs, I think we all have our hands full. What’s everyone been working on lately?
It’s an Audi, we all do. Whether we’re doing the work ourselves or working the corner to pay for the local Indy to do it.
This is the realest thing I ever heard.
On my Audi, that’s all I do.
I bought a super nice, high mileage Audi for cheap cause I knew I could keep it maintained and not drive it too much. I love it.
The best part of buying such a car is it can really give the ‘invincible car’ kind of vibes. Mine didn’t break in a year. The moment I stopped worrying about it breaking is when it broke!
Same. Nothing scares me about these cars anymore. I’d feel comfortable with a higher mileage Audi since I know I can fix most of what breaks lol.
They are simply in their natural resting state: open and ready for repairs!
Now just get in service position and bend over.
Yup! Started by wrenching on my 3.0T S5 and it was a great learning experience. My S6 is a completely different beast as space is tight and there are sensors everywhere.
I have the same car on the right and love it. Mint garage kept, 100K miles.
Yup, it’s like Legos. Except you’re walking across them without shoes on.
I actually enjoy working on it. It’s new, so the only work I have really done is aftermarket mods, but that has been a lot of work.
I do as much of my own work as I can. Oil changes, brakes, spark plugs. I’m getting ready to pull the SC and service it along with carbon clean.
I have a 4.2L 6sp. manual B8 S5, and I’ve done all the work on it including new clutch, water pump, and multiple sensors. It’s been pure joy learning and working on it.
I’m a mechanic by trade, so unfortunately, I’m the only one who works on my B6 S4. Definitely couldn’t afford the labor to have someone else do it.
I work on my Audi some days it seems.
Have parts showing up for the cooling system this week. 05.5 Avant 3.2… trip for Turkey Day, so kinda need her in tip-top shape.
I’m looking at a 2013-2017 S5. Talked my way out of the glorious RS5 with the NA 4.2L.
