2016 S5 randomly having connection issues... any ideas?

I’ve never had any problems with the Bluetooth in my S5, but today it started acting up. My head unit connects to my phone, but it won’t play any music. It synced my contacts, and I can make calls from the MMI like usual, but it just won’t connect for music. When I try to select ‘find a new Bluetooth audio player’, my phone doesn’t show up. Does anyone have any ideas on what’s going on?

Have you tried disconnecting and reconnecting your phone? Sometimes a simple reset can fix those issues.

Yeah, totally! I had a similar issue, and that worked for me. Also, make sure your phone’s Bluetooth is on and visible.

If that doesn’t work, you might want to delete the Bluetooth connection from both your phone and the car, then pair them again.

Also, check if there are any software updates for your car’s MMI. Sometimes updates can fix connectivity issues.
