2017 A3 transmission problems

Is there a reason why my timing is off? It doesn’t always shift up when it’s supposed to and jerks when it finally does. Audi said my car is fine, but I can feel it’s off when it shifts. Of course, when they tested it, it didn’t show any issues because it doesn’t always act up. If they can’t see a problem, does that mean it’s normal or is there something wrong?

Do you have the awful DQ200 transmission? That could be your issue. If so, get it tuned and it’ll respond better.

Yeah, I do have the DQ200. What kind of tune are you suggesting?

@Denver
A Stage 1 tune is a good start. It can really help with shifting issues.

Thanks! I’ll look into that. Do you think it will fix the jerking?

It should help a lot! Just make sure to go to a reputable tuner.

I had similar issues with mine. It turned out to be a software glitch. Have you checked for any updates?

I haven’t, but that sounds like a good idea. Thanks for the tip!

No problem! Sometimes a simple update can fix weird shifting problems.
