2019 RS5 Sportback... should I buy this?

I’m looking at a 2019 Audi RS5 Sportback listed from a private seller for $52,500. It has 43k miles and comes with some nice packages like the black optic carbon package, driver assist, dynamic packages, and more. No accidents, clean title, and new front brake pads and tires. Is the price fair? Should I be worried about the mileage or anything else?

If it’s a pre-July 2019 manufactured vehicle, you should check the rocker arms inside the engine. There have been various posts about this issue, and it caused Audi to change the design later on.

Good to know! I’ll definitely check that out. Thanks!

I wouldn’t stress too much about the rocker arm issue. It’s rare, and I’ve seen plenty of 2018s with high mileage that are fine.

Maintenance records look good. Just got the 40k service, which is a big one.

Looks well maintained! Just odd they did maintenance way ahead of schedule.

Price seems a bit high compared to others. Maybe counter at $50k?

I was thinking the same. The exclusive color might be driving it up a bit.

I’ve had my 2019 since 2020 and it’s been solid even with 80k miles. Just regular maintenance and tires.

Great spec you found! As long as mileage is under 10k per year, should be fine.

That’s reassuring. I’ll keep that in mind.

For a fully loaded B9.5 with 40k miles, you’d expect to pay closer to $58k. This seems a bit pricey but maybe due to the color and stitching.

Yeah, I think I’ll negotiate a bit.

I’ve had mine for a while, and it’s been great. Just keep up with maintenance and you should be good.

Rocker arms are mentioned often, but they seem to be a rare issue. I’ve had no problems with mine.

I’d say go for it if everything checks out. Just be diligent with the maintenance schedule.
