Audi A2 won the most underrated Audi - what's the most overrated Audi?

I think it’s the A1. An outrageously pricey (for what it is), tarted-up Volkswagen Polo. There are approximately five other automobiles that use the same platform, engines, and so on.

In the UK, at least, they are coveted by novice drivers, particularly girls, who drive them for’status’. Like a pretentious Fiat 500.

The line about it being “lusted over by new driver girls for a first car for status” is the most accurate I’ve ever heard.

I reside in a wealthy area of London, and every new girl driver and her dog that lives outside of my neighborhood drives a 2019+ A1 or an A-Class hatchback in white or grey.

The funniest thing is that girls from fairly well-off families with “Status” usually drive Mini-coopers, which are unusually popular with richer girls for some reason; you do a lot of A1s, but not to the extent that people would expect from girls from actual wealthy families.

My friend got an A1 for her first automobile, which cost $10,000 and had a few difficulties. She recently looked at autos and didn’t understand why the A1 was so pricey. While explaining it to her, she replied she got an a1 simply because she wanted an a1, which explains why their price has remained the same.

I was trying to think of an overrated Audi, but you nailed it. I had an A1 courtesy car while my A4 Avant was being serviced, and I despised it. The interior is’meh’ (at best), and the vehicle did not perform adequately.

It feels like a cheap automobile, as you mentioned. It does not feel like an Audi.

This needs to be the correct response.

To be honest, this is the entry-level Audi, so expecting luxury and a wonderful interior is definitely not a good idea. It’s reasonably priced, but it’s still definitely more expensive than it should be.

Its entry-level , but currently costs 5x the price of an a3 and 2.5x pf an a4 on the facebook marketplace

What do you mean “it doesn’t drive well” ? I have an a1 2015 1.4tfsi sportback and it drives well and has been properly maintained.

To be honest, I prefer the E-tron/Q8 E-tron and the E-tron GT for daily use. They are not S/RS cars in terms of sound or driving experience, but they are practical, well-built, and have a reasonable range.

However, they are not the most exciting vehicles available. Just good EVs that, in my opinion, look better than the competition.

I have only seen the A1 while traveling through London. I don’t remember ever seeing an A2. I have never seen them where I reside in the United States. According to the images, the A2 does not appear to be particularly sumptuous. How can they be considered underrated? It’s a basic automobile.

The explanation was that, while unattractive, the A2 is an exceptionally efficient and practical automobile since it is entirely focused on fuel consumption, making it more similar to PHEVs than other gasoline/diesel vehicles. And it’s relatively huge inside for its size.

It’s also fairly reliable, making it a decent choice if looks aren’t a necessity.

Ahh, gotcha. Thanks!

The problem with all these posts is you don’t know if you’re talking about overrated by the car community or by random people / average Joes. Two different stories.

Who cares? It’s a fantastic way to interact with the Audi community and learn about their perspectives on various vehicles. You might even get some good recommendations in the “underrated” and “best bang for the buck” categories.

I’m going to get murdered for this. But the rs6. I’m stating this as an RS6 owner. People who praise it to the heavens may not realize that it is more of a family car than a sports car.

I wouldn’t say it’s overrated, but it’s getting a lot of attention right now, and while it’s a terrific car, it’s not a replacement for a genuine sports car.

It’s a terrific automobile for families. But it’s so touted that I believe it’s overrated. Even a superb or good car might be overvalued.
