Hey everyone! I recently had my clutch give out on my 2008 Audi A4 B8 1.8 TFSI. Now I’m struggling to find a clutch and dual mass flywheel (DMF) that’ll fit. I’ve been checking eBay, and some sellers say that the A4 clutch and DMF fit other models like the Q5 and A6. Does anyone know if there’s a difference between these clutches and DMFs? Also, can I fit a diesel one directly onto my petrol engine? Thanks a lot!
I’ve heard the clutches can be interchangeable, but there might be some differences in torque ratings. You should double-check the part numbers just to be safe.

Good call! I’ll look into the part numbers. Thanks!
Generally, you can’t just swap a diesel DMF onto a petrol engine. They’re designed differently, so it’s best to stick with the petrol version.

That makes sense. I’ll keep that in mind while searching!
I had a similar issue with my A4. I ended up finding a good kit online that included everything I needed. Have you checked out local parts shops?

Not yet, but I should. I’ll give it a shot!
When in doubt, always ask the seller for compatibility. Some listings can be misleading.

Totally agree! I’ll make sure to ask them directly.
If you’re really stuck, maybe check out forums specifically for Audi parts. Lots of folks share their experiences there.

Great idea! I’ll look into that too. Thanks for the tip!
