I once loaded my A3 up to over 1900kg (gross) with 3 passengers. The suspension had no travel left, acceleration was awful, and braking distance almost doubled. Oil temp hit 110-115°C just cruising on the highway, even though it was below freezing outside. Quite an experience! The car held up fine for a 1,400km trip, plus another 550km afterward. Tire pressure needed to be adjusted to 2.9 bar.
I can find a picture if you’d like to see it.
@Winter
I would like to see that!
#truckstuff – oh wait, wrong sub! This is the Audi forum where we drive sleek, beautifully designed cars that perform well. Love the color by the way.
Edit: No idea why my comment is in bold.

No need to yell…
Honestly, it would be cheaper to just install lowering springs.
Just put a massive subwoofer in the trunk.
Love the color on that S5.
Probably helps reduce understeer too
Squatted truck look.
The ‘Costco Glide’—low, slow, and always got more stuff to haul.
Two really big dudes in the back seat at all times?
Last month, my friends and I went for a joyride in my C8 A6. There were five of us, all weighing between 250-300 pounds. Even in Comfort mode, we scraped every speed bump, even at 1 mph. Now I stick to a three-person limit in the car—it’s easier than losing weight!
Mother-in-law in the trunk works too, although it can be noisy.
Or you could just buy a Cabrio and carry 200 pounds of extra weight all the time!
120 pounds? That’s nothing! If your car lowered from that, you might want to check your suspension. I’m double that, and I’ve had 4 adults my size in the car with no issues.
One time, I filled my A5 with tiles, probably around 2,000kg, plus 2 adults. Pretty sure I blew a shock that day, and the suspension was super low, couldn’t even clear speed bumps.
