Just fueling up for 1100km / 650 mi of range... TDI for the win

Just filling up for a road trip! My 2021 A4 B9 35 TDI gets some impressive range. For anyone curious, my personal best was 3.6 l/100km or 65 mpg US.

Interesting and impressive! I get about 1300km range but have the 73L tank in the A6 40 TDI.

Wuuuuut 650mi range? I get 450 with the same engine on a full tank.

I have the optional 54-liter fuel tank; that’s probably why. I also try to drive economically most of the time.

How times have changed! Your optional fuel tank is 54L; back in the day, it used to be 75 or even 90L.

An Audi 35 TDI traveling 650 miles on SOCAR Dynamic Diesel would emit approximately 119 kg of CO₂. Don’t be too proud—you could be driving an e-tron and polluting less.

You forgot to add the effect of AdBlue to your equation.

A typical battery for an EV produces 15,000 kg of CO₂ just to make. This engine will last a lot longer than that. Emissions are just being moved elsewhere.

I have a 2021 A4 Allroad 50 TDI, and it has never shown 1100 km of range to me. :joy:

Ok, I was about to ask how you only got 650… then I saw your post of 54 liters. 650 mi out of a 14-gallon tank is very impressive.
