I recently picked up an Audi A6, and I’m excited to start making it my own, but I’m not sure where to begin. Any recommendations on what I should do to it in terms of appearance or performance mods? I want to make some tasteful upgrades that really elevate the car without overdoing it. Appreciate any advice.
As a fellow A6 owner, I’d suggest removing the black tint on the headlights if you have any. It can make the car look cleaner. Adding chrome rings to the grill could also give it a more classic Audi look. For wheels, I’d recommend going for OEM S6 wheels or some kind of performance Audi wheel, or even black wheels that aren’t powder-coated. If you’ve got the budget, I’d consider an S6 front bumper, a rear diffuser, lowering it, and maybe adding a front lip.
@Skyler
Thanks for the suggestions! I haven’t done anything to the headlights yet, so I’ll definitely look into the chrome rings and wheel upgrades first. I like the idea of making it look a bit more like an S6 without going overboard.
I agree with the other comment. If the headlights or taillights are tinted, I’d remove that right away. Blacked-out looks can be a bit overdone, and chrome on the grill, badge, and window trim can really make the car look classier. If the wheels are powder-coated black, I’d either strip it back to silver or just buy silver wheels. For performance mods, I’d suggest only doing them if you’ve got the 3.0T model—the 2.0T doesn’t have enough power to justify performance mods for a car the size of the A6.

I’ve got the 3.0T, so I’m definitely open to doing some performance upgrades. I’ll take your advice on the aesthetics too—blacked-out might not be the way to go, especially if I want to keep it looking classy.
