Wasn’t a huge fan of new Q5, but after seeing the X3, maybe the Audi isn’t so bad.

God, BMW massacred the X3. It’s been one of their most consistently popular models for the last 20 years, but wow, I honestly can’t see this one selling as well as the previous generation.

Meh, I’m not surprised if it sells better. The previous generation needed a big redesign.

This may work for them. It reminds me of how everyone (including me) disliked the m3/4 at first. But then people looked past it, and sales increased.

I have a feeling the same may happen, although this design is not near as controversial as the m3/4 was.

The entire Audi line has been slaughtered more than BMW could have imagined. And trust me, BMW has been annihilated. Audi is in tatters. Purchasing any German car (or, to be honest, any car) built after 2020 (except Porsche) is a financial and mental suicide move.

Audi and Mercedes have both had excellent years, Porsche is flying, and BMW still has some extremely cool cars. The 8 series must have been designed by a fully shielded unit lol, yet their mass market design language has gone well beyond Audi’s. Everything about the B58 is good to great.

This SQ5 front looks strange. I despise the filed-in, flat Audi rings. In the grill part, some of the polygon forms are open while others are closed. They are larger and more visible than other types of grills. The shapes of the side inlets and section below are distinct and not particularly complementing. This is a freaking geometric salad. If they could simply simplify everything, that would be fantastic. Trying far too hard.

 What’s wrong with the designers. Is this deliberate effort to make people Hate ICE cars and go for EVs:thinking:
